No, local CL, was on there for about a week. The guy said everyone wanted to lowball him. I just gave him what he was asking and he said he'd deliver it too!

It's a 1972 cb500. I'm a little worried about the transmission issues thus model supposedly has. Might have to try a 550 swap. Not sure about build yet. Probably just keep it as is since it looks so bad ass!! NOT!

Oh, 500, sorry.  There are many threads in the transmission woes. Not all bikes have issues. Do ya feel lucky?  I would like a 500 one day.

I have a feeling the owner of that bike was very tall.
 Am I right about that?

Haha, nah he was about 5'10". By the way, will all 450/500/550 parts (not electronics) swap out fairly consistently? I'm mostly going to have to swap out the rusty rims and forks. I realize the seats are different, but I'm assuming almost everything else would work.

Everybody worries, but my 500 does just fine, and I ride it like I stole it ;D  That said, if the lifter cup is crumbling, or the clutch lifter rod is broken, it won't shift like it should. The cup is an easy fix with a decent used replacement, but a broken rod is more complicated.  If you pull the left side engine cover, you can inspect both parts easily, and properly grease them too.

PM me if you need to find those parts...I'll share a good secret with you ;)

Fork and front rim swap is no problemo.  The rear may be different, but you can tell by looking at the brake plate and spacers...just use the corresponding sets.  So, you can put a later 550 rear wheel on a 500 if you use the 550's brake plate and spacers, and vise versa.

Not sure what 450 twin stuff will swap..
