Ok crud. I can't do this from my phone and I don't have Internet at my new house yet. I'll be heading back to visit my parents today.  I'll take care of it there. Hang in guys. There's a great amount and caliber of bikes this month!

1971 CB750K1:  Bought as a non-runner for $200 in 2000

The goal was to build a CR replica for the street.  This plan quickly morphed into building a Dunstall CB750

It took 9 years to acquire all the correct Dunstall parts.  The build started in January 2008.

The goal was to build a bike that could have existed in the mid 70s.  It gets ridden regularly and is not allowed inside the house.

Wasn't hard for me, that black endurance racer is sweet! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey 736cc, I nominated your bike mainly so you would have to give us a more complete write up on that thing.  Then you took a little flak for it being a show piece and not a rider.  I bet a lot of guys would ease up a bit if you spilled whatever beans you got about the story of this bike and it's never before seen parts...but don't worry about me, I already voted ;)
If it works good, it looks good...

I surprised myself this time. I never thought I'd vote for this style of bike but I like the work gone into Tacticals bobber.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I bought this '72 CB500 (actually, according to the VIN and engine numbers, it's an early '71 build) from a co-worker in March of 2010. It was a non-runner and had been in his barn for 28 years. Got it and the title for $300.

Got it running, made her pretty....

Swapped in a 550 engine. Added 400F bars and footpegs.

Then came a CB650 engine, a seat change and a restored set of Lester wheels.
