Just had my pin holes welded and treated the tank with POR-15. Looks great and was easy, yet messy, to do. Now time will tell how well it holds up.

Helpful trick I came up with for helping drying was using my small shop vac. Hooked it up in reverse to the tank so it blew the warmed air into and out of the tank. Worked great. Almost fit perfect around the petcock stem.

Thanks Adam, and contrary to HM's suggestions, the insides of the tank that failed was very well prepared and continously rotated to ensure that every part of the internal surface was completely, and evenly, coated.

As I mentioned before, I did three tanks at the same time from the same batch, and the other two held up perfectly. The fact that it didn't pucker up for 6 months leads me to still assume that the new owner got some dodgy fuel. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
