Hello! Would like to get in the rally somewhere, maybe when it comes back eastward. Retired May 1st and have a flexible schedule. If somebody jumps in from Missouri, Arkansas, or North Texas on the loop back, I could pickup and run north or west. Cant ride for long distances .... but could break it up. Would like some comment from downstream so I would have an idea where to head to.
We definitely try to include as many as possible. A loose suggestion is to work up the Eastern states to New England, then cut back West while staying North all the way to the PNW, then cut back East through the Central states, hopefully finishing in Barber in October. Kind of like this:
Of course, this seems quite ambitious, especially since I believe we are already a little behind schedule. So as much as I would like to carry the baton to VA, that is three weeks away and I don't think PZ (
Pimp
Zilla) can sit that long... I would expect there to have to be a handoff
every week in order to complete this. Time to step up!
Just looked on the map, and that Park is 100 miles into SC from Ga. I was trying to get a hold of "Rocker" from northern Ga. to meet me there. Maybe you will have better luck getting a hold of him then me. Being a new rider, I would like to stick to the interstate and ride right though to the NC border.

One hundred miles in? Heck, that's halfway across South Carolina! Savannah is 300 miles for me (600 miles round trip), so another hundred miles is 400 miles one way (800 miles round trip). From there, it's closer for me to just continue on up to Raleigh, NC and visit family I have there. I was hoping to be able to make the handoff in a "Day Trip" without having to spring for a motel and do an overnighter. I can do it, but I certainly would not complain if someone wanted to "fill in" part of this to connect the dots....
Now I know others have ridden further, but with the population density along the East Coast we shouldn't have to. I could meet GA (or North Florida) riders this weekend if any GA/North FL riders want to pass the baton to SC or NC the following weekend?
Let me know what y'all think!
