Ouch
« on: September 01, 2013, 08:03:00 PM »
My daughter and I stumbled upon this
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.
550 Snowbike -Somebody had to do it.

Looks like a crime-scene to me. David, I believe you are correct about the patina: that bike was torched. Rust like that can form in a relatively short time. I bet a cyber-beer that there is an insurance company somewhere that has paid a claim on that bike after it was reported stolen, and would be interested in knowing it's location...
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Correct on the burn. those round steel belts around the forks and swingarm used to be the tires.
It was in a garage /grease fire. Could make a nice lawn ornament for someone.....it didn't come home with me.
