Hi,
is this a rear fender of a K6 750? I hope it is as the chrome is great.





there is a 341 number stamped does this help?

while I am here should the licence plate holder be black paint or a chrome one on a K6?

The plate section and rear stop light bracket are chrome.

Not sure but I think UK ones were black, and unless you want a parts perfect resto that fender should fit

That depends. The four tail light mounting holes suggest either a UK or USA bracket. Other export market K6 models used a two hole tail light mounting bracket. The original finish is black for the UK and chrome for the USA.

BryanJ is correct, both brackets will bolt right up. No modifications needed.

A correct UK restoration will have a tail light lens without the side markers, I got mine from David Silver (UK)

What, if anything, will you do to the underside??

Since the underside CHROME is already pitted and rusted, he could get some RUST CONVERTER jell and apply it.

Will the rust converter do any damage the chrome if it leaks through to the other side??

That stuff can get kind of expensive depending on what you buy. Maybe give it a little soak with liquid wrench or the like and then come back at it a little bit aggressive with some water and soapy fine steel wool. Bet you may be surprised and it will never be 'show' quality in there anyway at this point. Some even spray paint the inside to stop further rust after cleaning. The paint most of us use on the engine is actually a good color also down there also, use that extra up

You are probably going to be shocked at the size of my Honda resource center. It’s a small collection because it covers only the 750 K0 to K6 bikes and I’m always looking to add more 750 original publications from the period.

I would describe myself as a long time Honda 750 enthusiast. I bought my first 750 K1 back in 1971 and I’ve owned other 750 models from the K1 to K6. The last brand new Honda I purchased was a 750 K6 and would like a K0 someday. I have learned a thing or two, made stupid mistakes and kept good notes. I’ve never been employed or associated with any part of the motorcycle industry and definitely not a famous Honda guy. There isn’t any impressive resume or bragging rights for me. Just a passion for the Big Honda Four that has kept its magic over the years and I like to think of it as a hobby.

Tape over the holes to prevent it from getting on the good chrome.. You could clean with the steel wool then spray bedliner on it. That will prevent it from rusting over again!!
