every body couldnt believe he sold it but i think there is some satisfaction in resurrecting a piece of garbage to some thing that is beautiful and coveted by others... i hope to get in head over heels like him some day..... good work johnny boy

Great thread. I learned a lot, thanks for posting.

I too am a little surprised he sold it, but sometimes it's not about the destination but the journey instead.

I have been referred to this thread like 4 times now, so I finally got off of (actually onto) my arse and came to have a look.  I am curious to know whether or not I am alone/in the minority in that I cannot see any of JohnK6's pictures??? Is the thread just so old that the pics aren't being hosted anymore?
That would be too bad, since this is a superduper worthwhile thread that's as relevant now as the day JohnK6 began it!  Maybe this bump will get something going; fingers x'd.

Too bad about the pics. I would like to have seen them.

FWIW, I did some searching to see if they moved to another hosting site and I found this video posted on youtube.  I think it could be the compressed version of this same build. Right owner, right bike:

honda cb 750

My Project Threads:
