I'm not sure what year it was, but he left Norcal and headed solo out to Kentucky or was it Tenessee?  He was working at a bike breaker out there and spent some time wrenching for a drag racer known as 'Sarge' who ran SOHC4 bikes.  His collection was still located in Norcal and I remember he was asking around about the possibility of someone hauling it all out to his new location.  His name is Wayne Bailey, I've got an early tail light I bought from him in 2002 or so that I'll probably use when my K3 turns roadworthy again.  He had a great deal of know-how and was a really good guy in general, I miss his input and when I think back to the Greenspun days he was one of the stand-outs.  If anyone knows where he's at, tell him to get his road rashed ass back to these forums.

Alans right - he was a real character back in the Greenspun days. He went to Nashville to work at the breakers yard but gave it up and is now MIA. Why do you ask?  ;)

Ha,  Waynes CB750 supersport shown in the link at the very bottom left is the same Sacremento Honda (with sticker on back) that Tim2005 bought for the Easy Rider trip in 2004. The bike had some dodgy electrics and a shaky head and how it made it all the way to New Orleans is still a mystery -it was dubbed "old shaky". Chris got it in NO and ride it back to South Carolina. It then made its way to Boston where it was sold a few years back. The guy who bought it tried to flip it and thats where the tale ends....no idea what happened next...but...if you ever see a F bike with a Sacremento Honda sticker on it....thats it!

cheers
Andy

Just tried Google, found this.  I don't know if it's him, but it looks like the dude on the bike in the first link and it was in Nashville,

I would also note that I have never known this guy or anything about him until I read this thread.  Just poking around and noticed the resemblance.

I know who "Chung" is .....Andy knows that too. I was just curious about what happened to him. I know he has kids etc but there was always a lot of drama going on.

I don't think I found the right Wayne Bailey.  The obit I found predates the last entry of "Chung" by 9 or so months.  So unless there is internet access in the hereafter....

It did look like the same dude.

Hey Guys,
Wayne/Chung is alive and well, living outside of Nashville,TN. I just got all my bikes shipped here with me. Haven't had much money to work with lately and I'm down to 11 motorcycles and 19 bicycles. I have a website but haven't put anything on yet.
I've lived in New Orleans, Vero Beach, Florida, Valley Springs, but will holdup here for a while. The RC Engineering 970 fired right up with only a half dozen kicks, after setting 8 tears and all I did was open the bowl drains and flushed with some fresh fuel. I drained them before I stored it so I can vouch for that tactic.
Is there a "How To" page to see how to use all the options on this  site?
Later,
Chung

PS.. That CB750F was in good shape when I dropped it off in LA, It would barely do 120mph but I don't recall any thing resembling a "Shake". Some one run it a-ground and bent a wheel or it shed a balance weight.  It only had 5k miles on it and the wheels were true, I had to replace the front because it was bent.

Hey Chung, good to hear you're back and well. Great that you've got everything moved & are getting the cobwebs off the bikes too.

That 750 served me well- yes it would pull around to 120 (maybe more.. that was a very quick motor), and it took me 4000+ miles to New Orleans and then Chris up to Boston. Though it definitely had a real weird shake, it was stable as anything in a straight line at any speed, but the bar shake was at its worst going into downhill bends  - which isn't the best time for that! I couldn't work out what was causing it at all, even replaced the front tire somewhere in Colorado...  I've never known a bike to behave like it, if I could re-create it I bet I could sell it as a fairground ride! Great memories...

Found a photo of it too- I think it went to Ohio, maybe it'll turn up again...

Chung, we had some great discussions in the old Greenspun days. You gave me some great advice. You were an Icon there. Glad to see you are doing OK.
