Keep it sealed and in the refrigerator. The pop depends on moisture, if it dries out, no pop in the corn.
 My Dad had a popcorn farm in his 60's and 70's. He grew several acres and did it all by himself with a 48 farmall cub and by hand. I still have the international corn sheller.
