This is an old story, but here's my take on it:  Officers of the law who roam the streets are sworn to adhere to a code of conduct.  They're armed, and under many circumstances have the right to arrest you, or unfortunately, stick their finger up your ass.  These officers abused that ability to detain citizens, and the fingerer broke that code of conduct, and what I would consider a code of human decency by not changing her glove.  For these ladies that were pulled over, it's now national news (their lawsuit may have a lot to do with that) and it would be tough to overcome that embarrassment.

And the taxpayer foots the bill for the whole debacle.  All because an officer was determined to find the marijuana he thought he smelled, even after he couldn't find any.

Bob, link is broken.

It was a link to a news story about two women winning a judgement for $185,000 in Texas for the same treatment.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Wonder what would happen if they did the finger search and you SH^t all over them cause you had the runs.  Would you get charged with defacating on an officer of the law or would they get blamed for un-corking the dam???

Good to know we have municipalities and for profit prisons out there to exploit bogus drug laws so we all can feel safer at the end of the day.

Aaah, DK ,brings back memories of the Anthrax in Norwalk Ct. Left many shows bloody and raw.
its better to regret something you have done, than something you havent.Except playing with explosives.
