cb400f cyl 1 exhaust clamp
« on: August 15, 2006, 09:49:44 AM »
how do I get to tighten the clamp on cyl1 exhaust pipe to header, against the sump. It looks like the sump needs to come off, but the front pipe is in the way of taking the sump off.

Malcolm, I just looked at mine, the only way to do that clamp up with it above the pipe is to take the 4 downpipes off the bike. Either that or put the clamp on upside down, it won't cause any problem like that.

I’ve never had a problem taking a sump off with all pipes fitted, undo the bolts and it can be moved side way’s and removed and it’s no big deal. Then you can get at the bolt.
