Im over near Asheboro....about an hour east of Charlotte.

Havent got a bike yet :'(    Hopefully next week if my truck sells on ebay. Im looking at a 74 CB750 that needs tranny work. Will probally try to find a good running engine to swap out. Theres one in the local trading post but I dont know if it will fit....its a 78 CB750 engine.

Can anybody tell me the year compatibilty for the engines ??? I tried doing a search but didnt come up with anything.

A buddy of mine at work has a sweet 74 750. Hes the one that got me wanting one. I tried talking my neighbor out of his old Kawa H1 Triple but he wont part with it. I like the looks of the CBs' better anyway....and I didnt want to mess with the 2 stroke.

Will probally do a Cafe look on the 74 when and if I get it.

...78 750 front sproket is slighly farther out than 69-76 750's.  78 motor will fit in a 74 frame OK, but u'd need a 77-78 rear wheel also...

Thanks guys. I just hope my truck sells so I can get the 74. I've about got enough to get the bike...he wants 400 but I think I can get it for 250 or 300.......I just want the truck to sell so I can go ahead and get all the stuff to do the Cafe mods at one time.

220 salvage is on the left(going north) in between Level Cross and Greensboro...correct?
