The seller give a decent description and I am curious if this will allow me to directly bolt on my 550 rear hub?

What brand rim is that and where was it made?

It does look good but pics can be deceiving.

Curious myself.  I need new rims for my 550 and since the local powder coat shop just quoted me 80-85 bucks each to blast and coat mine its looking more like these aftermarket rims could be my best option.  This looks like some I have seen for sale recently on here.  If I remember correctly (50/50 chance) it sticks in my mind the stock rims are 1.85.  A 2.15 would let me bump up my tire size as well.  I see the seller also has the 1.85 in 19  but not a 2.15 width.

Both front and rear are 40 hole.  Any 40 hole rim will lace up.  Your ebay link wasn't working when I tried so I don't know what you were looking at.  I just bought a fr and rear Boriani style uncoated polished aluminum rim on Ebay from this seller  http://myworld.ebay.com/wph107?_trksid=p2047675.l2559       $95 each with free shipping.  This style rim is 8 pounds, the stock steel are 15.5.  The stock 550K rear are 2.15 x 18 and the front are 1.85 x 19.

Not true.  Both front a rear rims for all the cb550s was 1.85 bead width. Some of the 750s had 2.15 rear rims.

I can't say how hard they are to lace up because I don't know your skills.  If you've never done it before, it will probably take you a few tries before you get it right.  Take your time.  There's some Youtube how to's that may help you.  You don't need to be obsessive about getting them .003 accurate for run out and wobble.  I've always done mine to close enough using a soda straw taped to the stand and then finished truing with the tire on.  Dial gauges look cool when truing, but confuse most people and are only as accurate as you are at interpreting what to do next.  Tires aren't true and have fat spots and flat spots.  Get a wheel final trued by indexing on the tire...then balance and you're good to go.  Here's pic's.  The grunge is from mounting the tires and they weren't cleaned up yet.  Good luck.

Spokes are chrome with chrome nipples.  Guy's name is Steve Smith.... search him on ebay.....   kingpin91602

They aren't cheap or inexpensive compared to some stuff I've seen for sale, but I'm not a fan of stainless spokes for a lot of engineering related reasons.  Just like aluminum, there are many grades of the stuff.  Not a one size fits all material and the trade offs wire for wire, put me right into chromed carbon steel.
