Calling England 400 owners
« on: August 09, 2006, 10:25:58 AM »
I'm making an inquirery with Unity Equipe about making me a tank.  They will need a frame and I was wondering if anyone over there might loan them one if they say OK.  Or I could rent it, so to speak?
I have no idea what all these names mean, but here is where they are, in case anyone is close and willing;
Casleton, Rochdale
Lancs

UE, I’m not so far from Rochdale but I don’t have a spare frame, I should have my 400 legal and running in about two weeks, I could ride over if it runs and let them take measurements, but I can’t leave the bike with them, if you don’t get a better offer and that’s going to help you any way, let me know.

biffta, I sure do appreciate your offer. So far, however, they haven't returned my e-mail enquiry. I may have to figure out how to do it myself.

UE buy this frame and have him send it to these people to make your tank, it’s got no V5c (title) so probably wont sell, make him an offer after the auction and 15 quid postage is nothing for a frame.

That frame's no good- the steering head is on the wrong end! What were they thinking?!

I can't get these people to answer an e-mail.  Maybe I should bite the bullet and call them.  What's the time difference, do you know?

 NY is about 5 or 6 hrs behind me and I’m about 30 miles away from the shop.

Gee whiz- I was kidding about the frame. he said he even painted it. he also said he will sell it to me and drive it to the shop for $200.  I must be crazy, but I really want a tank.  Anything for the kids, you know.  Anyway, I'm calling the company tomorow to see what they say before buying. If they need a stock tank, too, I'm sunk.
