Fastbroshi, where did you get that from? Is it a direct fit?

Its from Devins website cognitomoto.com . He designed it for his build on his 550. He still has them in stock if youre interested.

Valve spring shims to match all springs.

Is there anything more fun than riding? They are between your legs and are quiet when you turn them off.

Thank you sir. I assume this wont affect the performance of the valves/springs?

Then I relocated the swingarm 4" back and 3" up the frame to lower it using a 00 gsxr1000 swingarm

What did they/you clean the pistons up with? Soda blast?

They look like the should probably be fine to run as long as they measure out OK.

They measured out just fine, i think they used a wash bath of some sort, no blasting.

for those doing a gsxr front end on a 750 just some quick info. I have seen a lot of people swapping and extending stems on the gsxr lower trees. I have been scratching my head about my current setup and after mocking it all up and measuring the stems they match up exactly.  Both the stem on my 72 lower triple and 05 gsxr 1000 are 9.25" long. looks like i got lucky and wont be having to do any of the extra stuff for my swap

Wouldn't the proper place to measure be as close to the center of the stem as possible?  I think kicking it out like that could cause some disparity between your measurement from the base of the triple and the one I just described.  It would definitely be good to double check before you put new bearings on that stem so you've got the correct spacer(s) if any...IMO.

Say what colors are you going for?

quick update-

after some work this weekend im actually going to buy a new stem that is made for this application. Easier to press in and out of the lower tree and bolts right up and is the correct length. As far as the color scheme im going to keep a very similar color finish and accents as well (black/white/gold).

question to the engine people out there. looks like somewhere between the machine shop and my house i lost a nut that fastens the piston rod to the crank.

anyone know if i can still get these? can i just get something from the hardware store or is this a very specific type of treated nuts?

Why did you change your mind on the stem?
Who is making you a swap stem?
