And for those who are worry about the 15' foot gps antenna,i asked if it was possible to have it shorter and they said yes, it's only a 10$ option!

Speedhut gauges! Pictures, questions, comments
« Reply #27 on: September 17, 2013, 03:48:49 pm »

I don't want to hijack, but i want to buy speedhut gauges too and i was wondering if there is a place cheaper to buy these gauges other than their web site?

Thanks

Bert

Whoops, everyone else beat me to it!  Buy during their holiday sales...

I had them reverse my GPS Speedo and Tach so that the large sweeping needle is the tach and the tiny one on the right is the speedo.  Just a personal preference, but they had no problem changing it.

hehehe slim. I've been bugging the guy to do more stuff and he's pretty much just an a$$h01e. But it isnt too expensive. I quoted it on ponoko.com and it was well under 100 shipped. But I think the stainless was on the thin side. But, its an example that you can get it done reasonably.

You could swap your unicorn top bridge for a later model bridge with the two gauge mount holes:

then use something like this:

Bert I went to the bike wreckers and got a speedo drive and pick up off a VFR750, it needed to be thinned down 0.100" to fit between the fork leg and wheel.  The two speed pickup wires from the guage just plug into the two wires from the sensor. ;D

Depending on the ones he bought. Mine are gps so no sensors needed.

Very timely post.
Just got mine in last night.   Very easy to mount - I ordered their clamp mounts ($14 each)   If you trim a little off the mount and enlarge the holes, you can use the gauge mounts on the triple.  Their clamps are very secure.    I really like the idea of mounting them in the original housing, but for this one, I'm wanting a lower profile.  They look well made and seems like they would be easy to water-proof enough to keep things dry.   They are pricey, but you only live once... as far as I know.

Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

They're well made and life time warranty, I did have something burn out where some lights weren't working, sent it into them and they tuned it up good as new.
