jetting - 81 CB650
« on: May 19, 2005, 06:40:52 AM »
I was going to buy a dynojet jet kit for my bike (81 CB650 with stock CV carbs) but I noticed the installation instructions on the websit do not match what im seeing on my carbs. Mainly the mixture screw part. I dont see any mixture screws anywhere in my carbs. I also dont know how to get the needle out of the slide.

The kit says it includes a drill bit and screw to pull out the plug over the mixture screws. But I dont see any plugs either. It says the mixture screws are right on top of the outlet side of the carbs but there is nothing there on mine. Any body have any experiance with the dynojet kit? What are the advantages of enlarging the slide lift holes? Here is a link to the instructions on the dynojet website

Dont know about the dyno jet kit but the mix screw is on the bottom of the CV's by the cyl.  Instead of taking off the limit cap on the screw I took the bowls off and ground the stop off to make room for turning the screw.  Gives you something to get your fingers on and turn it by hand.
The needle is in the vacum piston that comes out the top.
