Right. Top of print goes to front. EMs is just laying at a bad angle.

Backstory, the supershiny part of my VIN is the rubbed off area from the clutch cable. Slightly shorter for the lower bars. Every mod has its compromise.

Well, feeling a little better, so will be back to the grind tomorrow. What time I had left today I got this done. Terrible pix but it came out good, will post more outside in daylight during reassembly. I hate the fact that every time I touch it fingerprints all over. Officially out of sanding paper and two of the polishing compounds, so the rest will be a while. On a brighter note, new set of Conti twins, Metzeler Tubes and rim bands have arrived. Maybe I'll get the wheels done next.

Did you get a chance to measure the lift Frank? If its a drop in stocker, its mine!

Its pre K3! so its gonna go great with the head getting reworked by JMR

Some progress this evening, followed the caveman approach to installing bearing races, won't describe here for that reason. Did the stacked height measurement, will be going with the thin spacer for the lower.

Did some digging, asking around etc. and decided to do one wrap with rubber tape (instead of electrical tape that disintegrates over time). The rim band looked pathetic on its own, hopefully the tape will provide a better seal/seat. Had some excellent pointers from Jerry h on how to mount the tires, so dove right in and quickly realized I'm still not physically well enough to do it. So called in a favor, had my local autoshop mount the tires in no time. Wheels are ready, just waiting on some sanding and polishing supplies to arrive to complete the last two pieces on the rear wheel.

Another piece done and wrapped up. One of the tricky ones. El cheapo kit from e-bay, no match for a wheel, but adequate for one of the least visible parts on the bike. Pic in somewhat better lighting.

Sprayed the undersides of the fenders with a $2 chrome rattle can  The nice rubberized undercoating just wasn't feeling right Steering stem got a nice finish with the VHT caliper paint.

So this is done, just about have all the pieces to get a roller going. Head may be a few days before it makes its way back so I might just assemble the top end in-frame.

Love, Hate or don't care input on these two psychedelic colors please people, which set do you guys think would look better? Yellow on the left is more vibrant, Clear/Blue on the right is less so, but close to the carb bodies' iridescent finish.
