Turn buzzer spruced up nicely! New sleeving and terminals (last of my samples

). I located a NOS one but its outrageously priced for something that will most likely be ripped out by the Future Owner. I wired it entirely separate all the way with its own sleeve throughout so should be easy peasy to pull. This one came from KC_Northstar as well along with the gauges and controls. Looked to be in great shape until installation

Lubed up its mounting rubber end with silicone, 3/4th of it slid into place, then the last chunk just craked and fell off

. It stays in place pretty well, but for added insurance......

Wanted to finish up the rat's nest next so got the headlight shell out of the yamiya body kit packaging. Bought this handy HL mounting kit either form Z1 or 4into1, can't remember. Has all the bushings, screws etc. etc. in one place.

All new everything for the turn signals and their mounting hardware. Sorely disappointed in the signal stems, my rechromed ones outshine these by miles (can't use them coz they were for K4+ and already sent to a member who needed them (traded for smaller aftermaket ones IIRC)). The signals themselves have beautiful chrome, but those pesky DOT Honda stickers made a gooey mess. Had to clean it up

Here we are, nice and clean, but still a damned rat's nest. This took all of 9 miuntes to finish up, which worries me greatly. I think I have it all done right, will go through it again. Everything is accounted for EXCEPT a solid brown wire with a female terminal. There is nothing (besides the three headlight wires) left to go with it. Is this some Euro specific thing?

Best way to verify that is with a meter.

I might just get lucky and not need to bother with it. There's only one fuse on the K2, no separate fuses for HL/TL etc. Will wait till Mark swings by and confirms. I'm planning on skipping the fuse box altogether and use the automotive style fuse hooked straight into the harness leads.

So my first guess about that brown wire was right, its a Euro park lamp thing, so leaving it be. Checked tracking on the clutch cover gaskets, they're waiting at my door! Will be closing that up and adjusting the clutch tonight along with finishing up the rear fender, tail light and turn signals. Then do points ugh, I'm struggling to get a hang of that despite all the reading

Should have installed the new gauge cables before installing the headlight dome

Got them on there though.

New horn, cable guide and their mounting hardware. Opened up the horn and it came with its own mounting bracket, so saved my powder coated one.

Installed and cables routed. The clutch cable is through the guide too, forgot the pic.

Clutch cover back on, may have gotten a little to tough on the screws

but its on there nice and even.

New clutch spring.

Adjusted the clutch following instructions in the manual, and I really hate instructions like "turn till you feel a slight resistance". I turned it out loose as far as it went, then back in till first resistance, then half turn back again. Got it to a point where it "feels" right and there's just a little slack. The locknut is in place and the adjusting screw sits out about 2 threads proud. Look and sound about right?

Did you also notice the 4 mashed up screw heads?

One above the kickstart and the other 3 around the clutch cable exit point??
He needs to get one of those JIS screwdriver kits from Gordon. Sheesh.

I think Rafi needs to start over again from the ground up with pictures to make sure this is a good resto. ROFL

I mean, how can we possibly nominate this bike for BOTM in this condition?
