vin date discrepancy
« on: September 05, 2017, 07:32:24 AM »
so my vin tag says 11/74 but the title says 1975
same vin numbers on steering neck/title/tag
is late 74 production considered 75?
or title error?

You bike is a '75 model produced in November '74 and titled in 1975.
No problem at all.  :)

One of the telling features of a true 750K5 is the right hand controls.
There is no throttle "tension" adjustment knob on the bottom of the control but there is still an on-off switch for the headlight.
This was a single-year control as in '76 the headlight switch was deleted from the control and the headlight was always on.

Good point, I was assuming;)
And it may even be different for the 750F bikes. They were getting all the new stuff.
I've not looked at a '75 550 etc. but I don't why they wouldn't have used the same control, but I also don't know if they did.  :)
