well, one of the major things holding me up was the seat mold. Finally found the time to lay up some carbon and for the first one out it turned out pretty good. Will hopefully all get better from here on out...

First trim and mock-up on the frame...the rear frame is angled more than i like...but this is my own fault for finishing the frame before i had a seat to test visuals with. Idea was to sweep up the tail for the rider to sit higher (taller guy) so hopefully it doesn't alter visual looks too much...

Hi all, i realized that I never added some finished photos of the bike once it was completed.
The paint didn't turn out as planned (was supposed to be more of a burnt tangerine) but things happen. Still more touches to add to pull together the overall look. Enjoy

The rotors are great! Check out my next project below in the pics...more of your goodness!
Here's a few more pics of the build, will have better ones up soon.

When not in direct sunlight, paint looks almost black...

Nice touch on the seat adding the extra padding to make it more comfortable on the inner thighs...that color looks great in the sun

I like it, too. So much I'd think about adding a layer of a similar hued candy to the seat and then reclearing, so the color become uniform for the seat and tank.

As the lucky, and very very very grateful recipient of this bike, I urged him not to paint the exhaust tip and to leave the seat carbon fiber...so much work went into the design and construction of the seat, I didn't want it covered with even an ounce of paint...plus, I dig the contrast.
