In the pictures above you can see two bikes in the back of the storage building, the silver frame is the one we put together this time with the 1055. The other frame (black one) is the one I had this engine in 14 years ago. With a 15 front and 54 rear sprockets it would run consistent 7.00 to 7.10 in the 1/8 at around 94 mph. I had a best at that time of a 6.98 with that chassis. I actually have 3 different chassis. At one time had one with a 836, one with a 1055, and one with the 1080 together at the same time. I will try to post a pic from 98 or 99 when I raced two bikes in the same class in one night,, long night that was!! Saturday the 14th I ran it with 15 front and 60 rear and the 7.11 time was 93 plus mph . I will have to see if I can find the time slip and post it. As for the rods, yes, I think I want to get a good set of steel rods but the aluminum rods had been ran back in 98 and 99 for both full seasons, won points championship in 98 and took second in 99 cause the cam chain broke the night of points run off.
