Does it leak?

If yes, replace it.  If no, leave it be.

+1.

And.... if you do replace it (not the smallest job either) get a piece of PVC pipe to drive the new one back on. Get one from Honda and not aftermarket!

If you can see the spring from the top the seal is upside-down isn't it?

IMO - bite the bullet, replace that seal and the other one if it is also the wrong way up. I've known incorrectly fitted seals to fail quickly, and the last thing you want is brake pads covered in fork oil.

Some seals have a spring on both sides.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

True.
But they always have a flat top to tap them in their groove! :)

Yep, they did put in double seals (even I did that, long ago) but modern seals do their work much better. And you also double the stickslip, making the forks much less sensitive on small bumps!

Thanks guys.  Your knowledge on this forum very much appreciated.  Looks like the brake side fork is starting to leak so I will be replacing both. I'm not surprised, as the PO was a hack, and mickey moused almost everything on this bike.   This summer I've unexpectedly become a slave to the CB750, and this forum is my new bible.

While on the topic of forks, do all CB750k's have the mounting holes on their right forks for a dual brake set-up?  If so, why did the factory do that?

Did you ever see a CR750, or any CB750 racer for that matter, with a single disc?
Well, thats why..... ;)

If u do decide to change the seals, you must really polish those fork tubes. If you can feel it with your fingernail, it will leak fairly soon. It is upside down. Honda seals seem to last very well.
