YA N00b, about to tear into a 400F
« on: September 17, 2013, 02:09:28 PM »
Greetings,

Great forum, great group. I've been lurking and reading for a week or so, having been directed here by some of my pals on the CBX sites. My name is Nils and I have a motorcycle problem. I ride a BMW GS and a VStrom, in addition to a dirt bike, but my pride and joy is this little honey, which I restored over the span of a few years:

More recently I got the bug to do another project, and so with the encouragement of my kindly wife I picked up this little gem in the rough:

It's a 77 400F, with a recently rebuilt engine and carbs, powdercoated frame and swingarm, and a few nice NOS or reproduction parts. It needs to be 'finished' and that includes some stuff I've never attempted before, so I'm pretty psyched to dig in. I'll start a project thread in the appropriate location once I get started, but I thought I'd introduce myself properly first. Looking forward to sharing the bloody-knuckled saga with you all.
