new prooject 68 honda 50
« on: September 18, 2013, 04:59:34 AM »
Hey guys,
I just bought it at an auction last night.  From what i can figure out so far, its a 68 honda 50 cub(?) with a "honda customs" roadster kit.

Its not locked up but its obviously been sitting for awhile.  They even gave me the vintage canvas tarp they found it sitting under when it was found in the barn.  The odometer says 916 miles,  which i think might be true, since it has a 5 digit odometer.  the auction is getting a title for me though the probate court.

Cant wait to tear into it and get it running.

and the only real info i could find on  it.

Cool!   I've got a Honda 50 that is titled 1963.  Its the version that has the plastic scooter type faring.  Looks like this one, but in black.

The kids down the street from me had a S90 based bike with a tank similar to the Rally. Is the tank on the 50 functional, or does it still use the under-seat tank? 8) 8)
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

its a functional tank.  It has a fiberglass outer shell you see and a tank that takes up prolly 2/3 of the size of that tank.

the original under seat tank is totally gone.
