050A Carbs
« on: September 24, 2013, 10:43:41 AM »
Could anyone tell me what year/bike the Keihin 050A carbs were on?  I have acquired an extra set for my 750 but I am starting to think these might have been for another bike. . .I tore them down a while ago but never thought to check until I started dropping them in some chem-dip.

Is it possible that they are the PD50A carbs?

Probably so :-[  Guess I need finish cleaning them then try to sell them.  I bought them from a guy who took them off of a '75 750, or so he said.  Didn't know enough then to ask for casting numbers and probably wouldn't have known the difference either way (probably still don't).  Thanks for the help.

Do they have an accelerator pump and air check valves?

No, not that I saw which I am assuming they would be noticeable.  When I disassembled them they looked like what I have on my bike and broke down like my clymer's manual outlined for my 750.  I'll try to get pictures of them up by friday.

Here are some pics of the number 4. Sorry I have everything broken down in little foil pans. Second, do these posts look to corroded?  The feel pretty sturdy but may be to far gone?

Thanks MiGhost,  I can't seem to find much on them either besides one mention on this forum in the "What did you do to your bike today" thread.  I guy had one 050a carb mixed in with his rack but no one gave any mention as to what bike they typically went with.
