Headlight ground wires
« on: September 24, 2013, 10:46:46 AM »
When I take my headlight out, I see the green ground wires on the headlight bolts. Are they imperative to keep attached there, or can they be disconnected? I would assume they can be disconnected.

They are probably for the front signals. Not much point removing them.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Yes, the signal lights need them. The headlight bucket is isolated to the fork ears by rubber bushings and the fork ears are isolated from the rest of the bike by rubber bushings between it and the forks themselves. This means that the only path to ground that the signal lights have is through those wires.
