Wow, a steal! You can get a whole new wiring harness from PartsNmore.com in Canada for $75, or from CB750Supply for about that, American.

If my wiring is very old and crusty and im going to need to rewire anyways is a new harness the way to go?

Yes, could save you a lot of time and headache.

Just spent 2 hours with some extractors trying to get the broken spark plugs out. No go they are in there tight. Any ideas? Tried fire. Penetrating oil. Give up time and try and find a new (used) top end?

If you've given it your all, call a local machine shop and ask what they would charge.
They should have the proper tools needed.

Where does a Canadian get the best deal on standard piston rings? And best deal on a valve clamp that will fit?

Picked up a free K8 750,had three busted plugs.Spent way too much time on it.Ended up with a different head.Good Luck.

got my valve spring compressor at Princess Auto, about $50.
as far as i know it's identical to the MotionPro compressor at 150 or so.
I hated it when I bought it, but eventually it got dialed in. Last reassembly was about 10-15min to put in all the valves.Just set it up right so the cam handle does all the compressing and it works mint.

As for broken plug the only thing i've ever done is CAREFULLY punch it around with a small punch or slotted screwdriver. Broke a plug on a 450R once, but it wasn't seized. Had to remove the head to do it and it took much patience. As posted before check with machine shop, or your local ford dealer. Ford Tritons used to (still??? :-\) break plugs at every maintenance interval. Check out the plug tool and see if its the correct size, maybe take a plug to PartSource and compare it to a 2004 Triton to see if it would work. Maybe the tool is borrow/rentable?
