Sadly I don't remember what I did with it. I don't remember selling it yet I don't still have it. that sums up most of the 80s for me.
i grew up in a city so I was always jealous of kids that had dirt bikes and yards to ride them in. My first bike was a CB350 in 1982. I was 16 and paid $300 for it. Once I had the carbs cleaned and tuned it ran great for the rest of the time I owned it. I rode all over on that thing even though I did not have a licence or permit.Sadly I don't remember what I did with it. Lived on a dirt road for years before it was ever paved. I remember a truck spraying oil out on the road to keep the dust down. Try that today and seen how fast they throw you in jail. At the top of pic behind me and on the other side of the row of trees there was around a 5 acre field me and my buddy rode in. Took our bikes out on the road alot and of course this was before we had our drivers lic. and at times my older stupid cousin would call the law on us. Yes those were the days. And now days with the Hwy and all the other changes you would never know 40 years ago a 14 year old boy rode his Honda 70 here.
You saw the light:)
The first Honda I actually owned, a shiny new '63 CB77, cost maybe $600, as I recall.Did a lot of stoopid things on that bike.......Check out the Space Age bubble goggles. If I bent over like that now, I'd probably get stuck......
My first Honda. A 70 CB450. Bought it new at Anderson's in Pontiac, MI. $1102.00 out the door. I was 21, single and working at Chrysler Trenton Engine plant. Plenty of spending money. Kept it for 3 years and sold it to buy a 73 H-D XLH Sportster. The 450 never had a problem keeping up with my riding buddies 650 BSA's and Triumph's.
