Need Carb rack Dims for 77-78k 750
« on: September 23, 2013, 11:10:08 PM »
Can anyone help me out with this? I need the below dims.  The earlier K's have (A) 37.5mm, (B) 38.5mm, (C) 43.5mm.

I suspect the 77/78k's have 3mm less distance on Dim C, but need to confirm. And if you can measure the outlet OD of a 77-78k carb that would be a bonus!!

As for the head intake spigots, it appears they did'nt change from early k's to late k's huh?

Working on bringing back the 77-78k insulators, so its for the greater good!  ;)

Thanks!

ok cool. Im using a mystery head for mockups- I dont know what year its from, but its definately not a KO. Its wierd, where there's usually the model stamp, theres just a "3". The 77-78k insulators fit nicely on it. Just needed to confirm spacing.

If you look from side of head into the fins and see three oblong bars, the head is 73 and up.

I have a K7 motor sitting under a bench, with the carbs already removed. If you need any measurements of the spigots, like length or spacing let me know.

I'll check tomorrow. You do already have a set of K7/8 insulators to work from, correct?
