That's the whole lot for September folks!  And I apologize if any handles were mispelled...or misspelled if you prefer.  Just so you know....this is actually Heffay's girlfriend posting the poll remotely for him as he is in the boonies of Colorado.  South Park to be exact (though it's a county not a city in real life).  So I apologize for any inconvenience caused by our move or my amateur modding skillz, but I do ride two of my own motorcycles (but not at the same time) and proudly wear my SOHC4 pin, so I'm not totally clueless!  But if Heffay, or queball, or goff, or whomever is more incognito than usual, that's why.  Oh, BTW, I've always wanted to let Terry from Australia know that he is uber crazy.  I think that's my 2 cents for the evening.

Your bike kicks ass. For me your bike was an easily nominated. The other bikes nominated are also very nice. Whichever ones don't win defiinitely deserve to be nominated again next month.

There's been much controversy over category's in the forum lately, and I'm just going to vote on which bike I'd be happy to have sitting in my driveway on anyday if not all. Again all fine motorcycles that appeal to the diverse group of members of the SOHC4 forum. Another tough choice this month

FWIW, I prefer it the way it is. I think breaking it down into categories will make the honor lose some of its luster. Just my opinion.

I have to agree with my #1 fan, Jeff  ;D

I just pick the one I would like to own most, be it a stocker, cafe, chopper, bobber, whatever....

i agree.....there's best of breed and best of show.  this is best of show.

personally, i'm a cafe guy through and through.  nothing like them, but i'll give credit to a nice bobber or restored to stock bike anyday.

keep it like it is.

Yeah, I agree as well. And just because one style of bike doesn't win one month doesn't mean it won't win in another. I got a feeling we are going to see at least a couple of these beauties back again.

Thanks for the nomination guys, I never expected it since the bike is still a work in progress.  BTW my bike is a 1972 CB750 K2.  I will be installing my 4 into 1 exhaust next week and my new cafe' seat once it is built.  I also just ordered those trick Cycle Exchange carbs.  I'll post those pics as I work on it.

I voted for Beachpeoples 750. I liked that weird headlight mounted so high, and the lack of a muffler on a cb750 always makes me giggle a bit too.

Hey, my bike is a 550F ('76), not a 750! I changed the tank over to an earlier 550K because I don't like the flip panel that the stock tank has (anyone want a supersport tank in decent shape?). The headlight is off a Harley and mounted high, high, high! There are a lot of oldsters around here where I live, and alot of SUV's, so I decided to make myself real visible. And it looks really different. I have a big "Ooh-ga" horn on the front to make some noise, wide beach cruiser bars, sawed off glass paks, and that old beehive HD tailight that another member here installed on his machine earleir this year, and the look just blew me away! I put a drum brake on the front, because I got tired of screwing around with dragging from the front disk. I had no confidence in that brake, and as I'm not a racer but just an old beach cruiser, the front drum is just fine for me. White phatty white walls on a 16" rear rim, and on an 18" front rim finished the look. I seldom go above 50, so attitude was more important that handling, and with all them thar H-D's that dominate the Myrtle Beach area, my bike manages to keep 'em guessing!

Thanks for nominating me! I was really surprised by that... Don

Wow - all these bikes have so much style and character. So much thought and work has gone into them. I'd be proud to own any one of them. It's almost impossible to choose but if you held me down and put a gun to my head I would have to plump for Sparty's.
