May I say that you should think about cutting your kick starter down so it is just above the top of the clutch casing that would make for a very clean look.
I use to do that in the 70's a nice touch I would think  8)

Work is slowing down and I can finally get back to finishing this bike. I've picked out the final colors so the bodywork and frame will be painted and powder coated by christmas.

QUESTION! I am thinking about using spoked rims front/rear. I have the front figured out but I am needing help finding a bike that uses a rear 5x17 spoked rim preferably with a cush drive and brake disc. Anyone have any ideas?

use your stock hub, and order a rim and custom spokes from Buchanans. Not aware of a 17x5 wheel in spokes, have only seen 4.25 rims. What size tire are you after that wants a 5" rim?

Or head over to ebay and search for ducati sport classic rim.

They have spoked 5,5x17" rear and 3,5x17 front rim as stock.

If you want a higher performance rim, do a search for alpina spoked rim.
They make a tubeless spoked rim for the ducati sport 1000

The front is off a 2006 Suzuki GSXR600. Cognitomoto has all the pieces I need to do the front if I do decide to do spoked wheels.

No real updates. Been working, traveling, and sold my '06 GSXR 750 and picked up this.

Nice job on your 71, I am in the process of building a 72 with a GSXR front and Honda 600r rear, I like the look of the spoke rims also, would love to know if you found any, also could you show a close up of your rear sets, looking to see how you did the Master cylinder,

Yes. The project is dead and dormant. Someday I would like to finish it but I keep getting distracted by life and other 2 wheeled vehicles so the CB750 sits and waits. I've tossed around the idea of selling it as it sits but I would really kick myself if I did that.

Well looks like you have a few quality reasons for the distractions. I'm on the East Coast but have a friend in Golden and have visited a few times. You're in one of the greatest places to ride/drive/live in my opinion.

I have a 71' I've been slacking on myself but trying to get back into it. Sold my GSXR1000 because I knew if I didnt, I'd just keep riding that. Giving me incentive to get the CB on the road.

Get back to it!

The bike has been sold. It will be headed to Florida to it's new owner.
I'm sure I will regret selling it but sometimes you just need to let go of lingering unfinished projects.

Ah man, that's too bad. I drew a lot of inspiration from your bike. Tell the new owner to update the thread! haha Glad to see your enjoying your other bikes. Love the KTM.
