I was just kind of poking around the interents and saw what looks like Simon's Beautiful CR750 Hishiki Sumiya Suzuka replica for sale.
I have always thought this was one of the Most Beautiful CR750s ever built.

Worth every cent. I now how much is involved developing a HY-VO motor alone.
I can only guess at the time, effort, blood, swet and money it took to complete the entire bike.

This is no ordinary motorcycle. Simon spent an enormous amount of time investigating "correctness".  I've always been in awe of this machine, and that anyone would be so thorough.

There is someone out there for this great bike and will they'll be getting a bargain.

I can see all the incredible work that's gone into it Jon, and somebody with lots of money probably wouldn't hesitate to drop $32K on it, but if I was looking to buy a bike for $32K, I wouldn't be buying a Honda. Cheers, Terry.

Yes it's for sale for the right buyer and the price is negotiable...I'm looking for around £18k GBP for it.

It seems like a lot of money I'm sure, but it's less than half of what I paid building the thing and it is stuffed full of unique parts, works and works patterned parts and lots of goodies. There is almost nothing inside the cases that is original SOHC CB750 bar a few seals, bearings, cam caps and bolts and when you see the parts that are in there, you begin to understand where the money went. Maybe I should have saved my money but then the parade lap of the TT course last year was worth every last cent of it

However, I also have a Ducati 851 KIT superbike for sale, one of only about 50 left and 100% genuine factory race bike. One of them has to go as the wife is shortly going to be out of work and we need a few quid in the rainy day tin so I'm kind of hoping it's the 851 that sells and I can keep the CR750. It is still after all a developing thing and is undergoing a transformation to self generating ignition as we speak. Well....while I'm waiting I might as well keep improving it on the quiet eh?

Thanks for the positive comments guys, it's really satisfying to build something that someone else with a similar interest really appreciates, kinda makes it all worthwhile...

sell the honda and keep the ducati, the honda is nice but at the end of the day its a replica the ducati on the other hand is the real deal .

I love that Duke. I'm tempted to buy a 916 because they're going cheap at the moment and in years to come they'll be silly money like the 851's, but if you ride them they have to have the cam belts changed every 6 months according to one Duke expert here in Melbourne, and that concerns me as it costs 750 bucks every time they change the belts.........

Only the cheap ones Simon LOL. No if you're strapped for cash I've got a nice restored XV750 Yamaha for less than 2 grand... ;-)

no they are not that bad , ducati say change them every 2 years or 15 thousand miles and they are very straightforward to do . they take about 40 min from start to finnish , wish i could charge 750 for doing them !

simon as you well know there is no such thing as a nice xv750 yamaha .
