My Wife and I were out of town, had gone to Georgia, for me to get my Dakota and bring it back to Arkansas and my Wife was going own down to Florida to attend a funeral for a family member. Yesterday, my Dad had gotten up and passed out. Situation required 911 to be called. He was picked up and taken to the ER at the hospital in Morrilton Arkansas, I stopped by to check on him at midnight last night, as I was coming back home. He seemed to be doing pretty well at the time. I was so tired that I didn't talk to anyone about what all had gone on. I went home, gone a few hours sleep and came back to find he had been moved to the ICU, because of his heart rate. At one point last night, it dropped down to 20! A temp. pacemaker was added. Then they were talking to me about whether we wanted to go with having a pacmaker implanted. I was told that his life expectantcy would be short, without the pacemaker. Dad and I decided to go with the implant. So they called for an ambulance to take him to Little Rock. Thing is, they could not get his heartbeat above 40, without him feeling much discomfort from the temp. pacemaker. So, the helicopter was caqlled for, to transport him. Now, we are in Little Rock at St. Vincents and they just took him, to do the procedure. He will be here for about 2-3 days, they expect. So, that's where we stand now. Hopefully, the pacemaker works well and my Dad can get back up to where he feels better and can enjoy things better. Just wanted to let you all know. I am in the waiting room and when I was offered a computer to use, thought I'd update you all.
