Topic: Meguiars White Wax..

I use a lot of Meguiar's and Griot's car products. Meguiar's  released a White Wax formula for light colored cars. Thought I would give it a try and waxed the Scion tC.

This is a morning picture before sunrise and with no lighting in the shop. Paint feels like glass. Highly recommended. 

Have to build up the will power to do the Tundra. It's a large vehicle.

You're suppose to wax cars?  My Tacoma is 5 years old, sits outside, never been waxed and still has great sheen.  I do wash it weekly.  Was told years ago clear coat does not require waxing.

Clear coat will oxidize like any other paint.  Proper wax adds another layer over the clear coat to separate the oxygen and other atmospheric impurities from clear coat contact and extends it's life.
The wax doesn't last very long, though.  It's a sacrificial coating methodology.  Therefore, it should be renewed periodically.

Pretty much all their products are good. I use the Body Scrub on old paint. Have to buy on line so I order 3 bottles of it. Griot's has fantastic products also.

I used body scrub on this old paint then followed with wax.

Sounds good. Any real difference to their other products or mainly advertising? I've been using their Carnuba paste wax for quite some time. Good longer lasting protection.

Relating to this, does anyone have a good cure to remove wax from rough finish unpainted auto plastics type materials? My 16 yo daughter has now learned not to wax everything LOL.

I would stop by a detail shop and ask. If it's plastic then several cleaners available. Would bug and tar remover work to remove the old wax? Just guessing here so the key is not to make it worse.

This is what I use on faded paint. I called it body scrub but it's paint cleaner. Can't buy it locally so I order on line.
