1976 Honda 550 F
« on: September 22, 2013, 11:35:07 PM »
Hi
A little confused an how to set the float heights. My areas of fogginess are;

1) Is the height as measured from the carb main body where the float bowl sits 26mm or 22 mm.

2) Is the height checked when the tab touches the pin or when the pin is fully compressed against the spring. I cant see any means of checking the actual fuel level

3) Does one need to increase main jet size if using K&N cone filters? Is so, how much

Thanks guys

measure from the gasket surface to the lower edge of the float,dont depress the spring just let it touch it.
