Carbon fiber helmets would transmit the electricity much better...

It is odd that he was struck while moving. It was his time to go I guess...

Being under a tree, isn't a smart place to take shelter during a lightning storm...heard that all my life since I was a kid. Especially a lone tree.

Sad news for anyone to die or be injured by a lightning strike.

I think when your number is up, its up and you can't hide from it. In the first story the guy's number wasn't up, the second story it was.

But I also don't believe in pushing the envelope either.

Due to being encased in resin there would not be much chance of conducting electricity David.... ;)

Lightening is the last thing I would be worried about killing me on my bike. Yikes.
