Which CB750 SOHC had the longest gas tank?
« on: October 02, 2013, 07:19:33 PM »

I assume it was one of the F models, but which one? Is there any difference between the F1, F2 and F3 tanks?

F0 thru F3, same tank, two different gas spigot sizes, but same tank otherwise.

I believe, the K7/K8 tanks are the same length as the F2/F3 tanks. They just don't look it because they are wider.

Assuming the front mounting points on the tanks are set back from the front leading edge by the same amount on both tanks, the F2 tank is definitely longer than the K7. With the K7 tank fitted on my F2, there is a gap of about an inch twixt tank and seat. The front and rear mounting positions on both tanks however are the same.

Actually, that is exactly the tank I am looking for minus the breather and the reservoir on the bottom aft. And I'd rather have the filler cap centered. Is that too much to ask?  ??? I don't want a fiberglass one however and the aluminum ones are a little more than I wanted to spend. Still considering it though.
