Topic: should I clear coat my lower shocks after polishing or black? Pics in a bit.

don't know if I should clear coat my lower shocks after I am done polishing them or just go ahead an pain them black.  Removed the factory clear and man what a difference.   I like the way the black looks on the lower shocks especially on the 550S but I'm torn between the two.  I will say though that the black does make the chrome fender pop a bit more. Let me know what you think or have done in the past.

I am a castrated dude; I clearcoat everything. Rear shocks, front shocks, fenders, springs, even my rims, spokes, and hubs.

If it is your lower fork cases you are thinking of painting, then it is my opinion that it is a waste of time...because brake fluid is a very effective paint stripper and when you assemble/bleed your front caliper, it will drip all over everything...

...trust me...
