Well I got my itch on this honda concept. I would give ANY bike other than maybe my K8 for this!

Have you noticed how 'arse in the air' modern sporty bikes are getting? Don't get me wrong, I like the un-cluttered look of the monoshock rear ends on modern bikes, but our old classic bikes seem to just flow better from front to rear.

eldar, I'm not much on that type of bike but, that sucker sure is wicked looking.

Like to hear more about it when the info is available.

You want the butt down, get a chop and go slow. Most chop now these days look the same. This does not even look like your average rocket. Course you would have to look close to see that.

I actually prefer the 'standard' riding position our bikes (and every other bike from that era) give us. Nice and comfy.

Well, if that position ever comes back, I will suprised. Besides, wasnt this about newer bikes? Newer bikes are either cruiser or rocket styled. Even the "retro" is more cruiser.

Do you guys realize the NAS concept is something like 5 years old? And it's strictly a concept and production will most likely never see the light of day.

That said, it is wickedly cool.

A real pity, too. I rented one the last time I was back in the old country. Did a couple of thousand kms on it over 4 days. Very comfortable, more than enough jam for me, and hard luggage.

So many to choose from: Speed Triple, Thruxton, FZ1, Moto Guzzi Griso, KTM SuperDuke, MV Brutale, 961/SS Commando, etc., etc. I want them all!!!! Especially that Honda concept mentioned earlier. I like that Sportster that Jeff posted too. My next bike will probably be something for longer distances though. Like the V-Strom.

Because I need a nice 2 up rider right now, Honda ST1100. Was told it makes the Wing look like a slouch in the corners and has that extra highway gear that you were always looking for.  ;D

A bike I really like but will probably never get is the Aprilla Tuono1000R.
But some possible candidates are the FZ1000, and SV1000S, an old TL1000, or a new Gixxer 750.
Other sweet bike that I would like but don't have the bank for are the Mike (the bike) Hailwood, and Paul Smart replicas and the modern retros like the Nortons or the Vincents.
But for now I'm happy with my CB.  All the time I spend with her (read: fixing) might make the other bikes jealous! :D

This would do the trick for me.  Long distance touring rig and a curve straightener all in one package.

The windscreen can be raised or lowered, if I remember correctly.
No.

i know a guy with a 1200 with the electric windshield.  he shows it off at every opportunity.

damn nice bike.  apparently very agile.  also comes with cup holders, cruise control, and a stereo.

GPS is actually handy.  my friend with the triumph sprint has a tiny hiking GPS mounted to the bars and on any decent trip, he leads.  we take whatever road looks nice and i never think about getting lost.

also, up north a couple of weeks ago, i mounted it on my 400 for speed tests.  more accurate than my speedo and locks in the highest speed on a run so you can check it when you stop.....unfortunately it confirmed that i missed the ton by 8.1mph whereas the speedo read 110.
