what do you call this in the USA
« on: August 19, 2006, 01:51:28 PM »
over here in England I would call it a rocker cover, what name do you give it in the USA?

I'm thinking of putting it on Ebay, do you think it would sell? It would look ok polished and hung on the wall I thought. There is a small bit of damage which has been 'epoxyed' over so not sure it would be usable, although I did take it off a running Stingray in the 70's.

Valve cover.
I doubt with the epoxy it will sell for much of anything.
Shoot me a PM with what you want for it with shipping , and I might take it off your hands for ya...

When my Indian got whacked, I sold the front fender that looked like an acordian for $75. I just listed it almost as a joke.  Shipping was $75, too.  There is no way that thing could be straightened.

yes there were 2, the 'Boss' only allowed me to keep the damaged one, I had to fit 2 polished after market one's as I remember. Not expecting big money for it, just that every now and then I have to clear out bits I collected, I just can't bear to throw anything away. It has hung in my shed since the 70's and I just thought someone else could get some use/enjoyment from it. I saw a pair at a recent Autojumble here in the UK priced at £90 which I thought was very expensive.

hope you get 100 pounds for it

then tell the missus she can have 10% of the money for letting you hang on to it..it may help her understand the value of the old stuff us blokes tend to hoard - but never really want to go to the bother of selling.. :)
