Name this 400f pipe...
« on: August 19, 2006, 02:18:39 PM »
Does anyone know what make the exhaust is on this 400f? Looks kinda like the Yoshima/OMT ones I've seen pics of, but is longer & more upswept. Just curious really, I'm too far away to buy it (looks a sweet bike though, and oil cooler makes me wonder if there are other mods hidden away).

I don't know about the header but the muffler looks like a Super Trapp, judging by the end cap and the plates under it. That's all I can offer, whether right or wrong.

Spot-on. I think it looks like #$%* also. Go stock, or I like my yoshimura. Makes power!

Looks like someone stuffed a bar down the end of the pipe, clamped the middle of the pipe, and then reefed upwards mightily. It would make a good water collector in a heavy rain, though.

Yeah, I totally agree with nick, I don't see how anyone can not like the original 4 into 1 exhaust.
I mean that was one of the main attractions of the 400 four.        Later on, Bill

Stock ALWAYS works. I like my Yosh (sounds great), Mac makes a nice 4 into 1, Jardine is ok.

Plumming store leftovers, refers to the beginning pic in this post. NOT the stock 400F.

Don't get me wrong. I love the stock pipes, they just didn't work for my application.
