Finally rode my bike for the first time today. Rode well, but it curiously started running lean though. I just went around the block(no plates yet, don't want to go to far from home) It started leaning out under load, like going up a steep hill.
Damn My driveway is a steep hill, a very steep hill! after the bike leaning out and dieing halfway up twice, I closed the choke half way and made it to the top.
Looks like I'll Be going through the entire fuel system tomorrow, and picking up two more vacuum gauges, so I can sync the carbs. Better dig up my timing light too. Weird because it ran fine last week, was very low on gas though So could be a lot of sediment in the petcock.
Felt good to get it on the road though, should have it plated by the end of the week!
Do these carbs have an accelerator pump type device like in cars, because it leans out when I open the throttle quickly.
Thanks,
