CB750 no longer...
« on: August 20, 2006, 04:56:10 PM »
After working on my '78 CB750 K8 for the past 6 months and making it run pretty damn good, I decided to trade a coworker for a 1991 Suzuki GSX1100G. Both bikes are in pretty much perfect visual and good running condition, and I really enjoy the power and comfort of the GSX :) The Honda has tought me a lot about working on bikes, and the many times I had to take the carbs out, it should make it easier to work on the GSX... A bit sad to see it go, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity, as the GSX is pretty spot on for what I want for my 2nd bike, and it is only a couple of bags and a shield away from being a great touring bike.

Anyway, I wanted to thank you all for the help that you have given me, this is the best tech forum I've ever been on, wish the GSX was half as good :) The wealth of information that you have accumulated here is priceless, as is your willingess to keep answering similar questions over and over...

Thanks again!

Try this site mate, I've got several GS Suzuki's, (my ID is just "Terry") these guys know their bikes, so you won't have any problems learning about your bike. If that GSX is as clean as your K8, I reckon you got the better end of the deal! Cheers, Terry. ;D  http://www.thegsresources.com/
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks guys, I'm sure I'll check in once in a while, some of the discussions over here cannot be missed :)

I wish the GSX had fuel injectors btw, but it has 36mm CV Mikumi carbs with plastic slides... Fun, fun...
