#$%* half the time you could sell off your stocker parts your were taking off and make the money you needed for the build.
This is how I built my bike, with selling the "take off" parts on Ebay, then sinking that cash back into the bike.

Worked outnicely , now I dont have anything left to sell , and ALLOT more to buy  ::)

Well, I always wanted to build a beefed up, improved-on featherbed design for a bit stronger bike.
Heres one for the sohc 750.

Someone build it for the build off :P

Why don't we see more grey/silver/coloured frames than we do?

I was really considering a silver frame for mine but ended up with plain old black (for this season at least....).  I suppose lots of people don't strip their projects right to the frame so just touching up the existing black is easier.

It IS my file. I just made it to fit sohc750, so obviously, it's very rough, and not finished.
I put 10 minutes into it. I'd like to put more time, but if you want to mess with it, i'll send it to you.

I sent it to yer yahoo account. Remember, it was a rough sketch up from another idea, using brookesy's drawing to get some proper perspective on engine size, etc.
Once id' decided on details, I'd have started over. Or will, I should say.

it takes somebody as hard headed as Il Heepo to get a piece like this back to a decent "starting point" for most next owners...  :)

You guys are too funny....... ;D ;D ;D

I have plans to stitch a 78 CB 750 DOHC swing arm in her and the front end from the same bike on it also. After that the motor comes out for a complete balance and HIGH Perf build with custom cam. Then there is crazy sick plans for some turbo action.  ;D

the cool thing about Rhino, this is a 3Dprogram called Rhino, not CAD, is that after you get the shape of the object right, like say, the butt-stop you can take all the planes that it's made of and flatten them out and then print them full size...instant pattern.
