Ei Huero Ioco and HootLe, what time are you guys looking at.  turns out my wife is working so i could make it out there, but not a fan of waking up early on saturdays

This is good, 'cause October 1 is a Sunday.  ;D

Seriously, I have no clue as to a time. Huero?

Any time works for me. On a Sunday, anything before 11 is early anyways, so it makes no difference...

disregard all of that then.
thought it was saturday.

may end up with the wifey afterall, which would mean surface streets and no ann arbor detour.

oh, no fan of waking up early on sundays either.

I'm lookin' to go to Holly - probably a pm arrival - save me a spot if you can - I'm hoping for fair weather.

The wife and I hope for good weather as well (no rain).

Chris, would you guys like to meet up with us and head up? Since we don't live too far away from each other it wouldn't be too hard to do. The only kicker is my wife and I wanted to head up there a bit earlier.

BTW, the Benly is really close. I got the last big shipment of parts for it yesterday, so if a few test rides and adjustments go well today and my speedo cable shows up, I should be able to take it up.  ;D

it looks like the wifey's riding up too, so--if history serves--i doubt we'll be heading out much earlier than the ann arbor guys.  typically, though, we head up to "club bart's" for a sunday breakfast so if you do go later we could meet there.  excellent breakfast at bart's.

your benly's really got me thinking about what i'd like for a winter project.  since she's on that 125 scooter, i want something under 100cc.....like an old CL70. maybe a benly 50/90.  something like that from the late 60s/early 70s.

hope to see it there.

do you really need the speedo cable?

I got the time off of work so I am really planning on it now. I will probably leave in the morning before 9am. I am not sure what route I am taking just yet. See ya there.

Chris,
I got your e-mail and I replied, it's even in my sent box. I have been pretty busy the last few days learning how to write the operating program for one of the robots on our molding machines. Brand new contract, important to our future as a company. The next time I come home on Leonard I will swing by and chat for a few. What time do open up? I will call before I stop by.

No, I don't really need it, but it would be nice to have.

However, it's a moot point as I found out today that you can only register historic vehicles with authentic plates by mail- you can't do it at a branch office. DAMN!!!  >:( The bike is all complete and ready, but not legal. I am pissed. So, by default I'll be riding the 750 AGAIN....

Not looking for it to be warm perse, but I really hope it's a dry day.

According to the weather forecast, Sunday should be much like today, which is a big change from yesterday. I just returned from a ride this morning, 52 when I left and 56 at 1:00 PM. Might want to look for those lined guantlet gloves you haven't seen since April  ;D and wear anything you can that will cut the wind. Starting to get nippy. Hope you all get to go, don't forget the pics.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Bruce, Being the slug that I am, I usually don't get in 'till about 9:00 - 9:30, but give me a call, and I can be available....are you going to be around Monday? It's supposed to be '70º and sunny!
You guys all have a great time, and Post a TON of pictures! Might be cool to post them on another string...I don't think many others are reading this one! But, if we want to keep them to ourselves, that's good too...God, I wish I could go!

so have we come up with a meet-up plan?
about all i've seen is to hang out at the VJMC area.  is that it?

sounds like most are planning on an early afternoon arrival, correct?

I wish I was kidding. Oh well.

What time are you and your wife going to Club Bart for breakfast? My wife and I would love to join you, if that's still your plan.

sorry bro, but at least you've got a sweet looking 750.

we'll probably head up there around 11:00--like i said, not usually early risers on sunday.  she's undecided if she wants to "scoot" all the way to holly, but said she'd definitely scoot as far as barts and play it by ear from there.

I'm heading Up North with the in-laws this weekend, and plan on stopping in Holly on my way back.  Upside-I get to see some cool bikes.  Downside-I won't have mine with me.

it is just awesome.  sunny blue sky, light puffy clouds, almost 60, crazed jackasses in giant lumbering SUVs....sorry, i digress....
the only way it could be better is if i had the afternoon off.

plus, it's fun to have people checking out the new paint.

I'm not sure my bike would even start at this temp. Last week, it was cold, and the engine actually warmed up from the starter before it started! Once it starts and warms up, it runs perfectly, and if I shut it off, it starts again instantly! I don't get it!
