Yeah, I did post it. I've been looking at it for a month and there it sits! It's only posted in the Grand Rapids local paper, so I thought I'd broadcast it WORLDWIDE! I'm serious, if anybody is interested, I can go look at it for them!

Oh Man! It's 65º and I got my bike out and rode over lunch! I was splitting lanes and being crazy (and I never do that!)
And I think I may have figured out my starting problem! I think all along, I've been flooding the poor thing! This morning, I went down to start it, and it wanted to start, so I choked it, thinking it needed more gas...then, it didn't want to any more...so I took off the choke, and gave it NO Throttle! after a few sputters, off it went! I was told that I was blowing black soot all the way up the street!
But alas, back it came inside at the end of it's jaunt...snow tomorrow night!

None for me...my bike was locked up in the basement of my building....
Jonsey, I dreamed about your Benly over the weekend...you had ridden it to N.Y.C., and said if I was there, I could ride it...you had it all dressed out with big 'ol Gold Wing bags....In the beginning, my X wife rode up on it, then I took it, and got REEEAAAlY lost in New York!....Ok, Psychoanalysis please?

Motorcycle show in Novi Jan. 5-7
« Reply #318 on: December 18, 2006, 07:05:21 PM »
I went to the Honda dealership last week to pick up a gasket, and a sales guy gave me some $2-off coupons for the Cycle World International Motorcycle show that will be in Novi January 5, 6 and 7.  I have no interest in going to the car show in Detroit...but THIS has be interested!  I like seeing the new technology and other innovations.  Tickets are $13.  Stop by a dealer to get a coupon for 2 bucks off.

The wife and I went to that show last year and plan to go again. The VJMC had a nice little display there. (Wondering if I can show some of my machines..)

Hey Rouxballs!  Welcome to SOHC4 Michigan! Last summer, we established a mailing list (via email) so that when there are rides or activities, we can email each other. If you'ld like to be on the list (email addresses are only sent to list members..there are upwards of 20 of us), email me at ces@greenfrogphoto.com, with your email address, where you are located, and your real name and I'll send it to everybody.
If you go back through this string, you'll see postings about things that went on this past summer, and there was a bike show that some went to in Detroit in the last few weeks.. The object is to get together and meet other members, and find people to ride with. There are a BUNCH in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area!
Next summer, I want to get a whole bunch of us to ride to an antique bike meet in Wauseon Ohio..it's directly south of Jackson, just across the border..a few years ago, they inducted the SOHC4 ('69) as a full antique (35 years old) and they welcome us with open arms!

I'm also here in Michigan, Eastpointe to be exact.

I am a SOHC fool, I eat sleep and breathe these awesome motors. Take a look at rouxballs, I recently set him up with that bike and brought it back to life after it had been sitting outside for far too long.

I personally ride a..... gasp.....1970 Amen Savior chop/bobber but don't hold that against me! I put plenty of miles on it last summer, rode in North Carolina, Ohio at least 4 times, Flint, Cass city...... I try to ride as much as possible although it isn't always easy because I have a young family to take care of.

Hope to meet and ride with some of you guys soon. Take care. ;D
