Let me know when, if possible, would like to join in. I should warn you though, you should consult the UofM football schedule. You don't want to be anywhere around A2 on a home game Saturday. There are 30,000 plus cars more than normal leading to from and in the city and all the occupants have no clue as to where they are going since they are from out of town. Makes getting around a challenge  and down right dangerous to say the least. :(

Got the 400F running again. Should stay that way; hell if I know why it quit, though...topped the battery up with water as it was fairly low, charged it as it was dead, and cleaned a couple of nasty-looking grounds before going to troubleshoot things. Got out the multimeter, then kicked the bike over out of curiosity, and it surprised the hell out of me by lighting right off. Spark is good, batt is charging properly, everything electrical seem to test ok for now...so I went and wound the piss out of it for an hour or so, and nothing changed.  ;D

I'd definitely be down for something in, around, near, close to, or even a long way away from[/] Ann Arbor on either of those two weekends. And good point on the U of M football dates - most people around here either get the hell out of town, or simply don't leave the house...

It's not too bad once the game starts, just be back home before it ends.. unless they are losing badly, then you have to be back sooner as fans don't hang around until the end when this happens.

OOf! I just realized that the 16th is out for me! I have to requalify for CPR (in case any of you have heart attacks while were riding) so I guess that leaves the 23rd for me....hopefully, it will be a little warm, My bike wouldn't start this morning!

Add me to the list.... I'm in Lapeer - mid-Michigan area east of Flint.

After a long bike-less period, the wife finally conceded I needed a motorcycle-- and I got a fantastic 75 CB550 this summer that I would describe as museum quality.  It's not the biggest or fastest or smoothest bike I've ever owned.... but it it is perfect match for my needs.  And I'm looking forward to winter when I can do a lot of (unnecessary) maintenance.

This is a great forum and I look forward to future interactions!

FYI - Jonesy posted elsewhere that there will be a VJMC gathering at the Holly, MI "rally at Battle Alley" on October 1.  If its not too cold then, I'm thinking about riding over there.

Afraid I've got other things going on that day, would be fun to join you, though...

Aw, ya panzies! Bundle up, saddle up and ride up!! I plan on making the trip (hopefully it's not raining...)

I guess you could say we had an "unofficial" MI gathering yesterday as Chris (better known here as cmorgan47) and I met up at the Berkely Front for a brewski after work. It was nice meeting ya in person!

This is awesome! People are actually planning! This is why it's important to put together the Mailing list. Please don't forget to go to my avatar and send me an email wth your address, and location. That way, we can contact each other directly. I'm going to try to keep this string active for about another week, then I'll compile all the email addresses and send them out to the group.
I'm in GR and I'm not doing much this weekend, so...
Hey, guys that are riding this weekend..take some pictures and post them!

All this stuff's got me jealous. I'm stuck in San Francisco 'till next Monday for work, no bike, and barely a car (6-speed Honda Accord loaner, ugh) in sight. Gorgeous weather here, too. Combined with the roads, it's like a slap in the face.

As far as Michigan crowd goes, anybody doing anything next weekend? Ride/beer/whatnot?

What do  you think? Anybody know where we could get patches made? This would be cool on the back of my bluejean jacket! Of course, would it be legal for us to use the logo?

pretty sure i could get a friend to do them
he's a screen printer and i've seen embroidered hats that he's made.  good quality.

stickers would be dead easy too, just need a high quality jpeg, or better a psd.

maybe work the Michigan more into the body of the patch though....more of a MI under the honda logo in the middle or something.  don't have the tools to do it here.

Man Chris, you must spend as much time online as I do! (At Work)
I think one thing I like about this is that it doesn't alter the main logo. I'll play with it. I want a patch though..I might put a sticker on my car..NEVER on my bike1

yeah, i go on vacation starting saturday....plus, a bit of the old brown bottle flu....all adds up to a lot of surfing.

stickers go on the helmet, not the bike.

i know what you mean about altering it, though in my mind, the best look would be to replace the URL with MICHIGAN....
looks cleaner, plus with a patch, i can't imagine you'd want a square with any background.  it should be shaped like the logo.  but, of course, we should keep the URL.  we need more input on this one.

the way you dropped the black down make me thing maybe MICHIGAN under SOHC and something else under FOUR would look good.
