I think the tank is for beer and the push bike peddals are missing.

G'Day Derek, the tank is a NOS alloy endurance racer tank, (maybe a Seeley, but I don't know for sure) ala the 24 hour racers of the 1970's, and is a genuine period aftermarket item specifically for a SOHC 750. It is huge, but has beautiful lines, so should enhance the looks of the bike.

Definately not just a "Cafe Racer", but a real race bike for the road, I hope, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks for the bump mate, well everything is here now, i received a box from Sean with the H/D studs so I can strip the top end of the K6 engine and fit the 836 kit and Mike's head etc, only problem I have at the moment is time, or lack thereof. I've got 6 oil coolers to do this weekend and I'll be lucky if I finish them, let alone turn a spanner on any of my bikes. Oh well, Christmas is only a couple of months away and I'll have a month off work, so if I'm riding it by the time I go back to work I'll be happy, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Hey there Terry,     Looking good, can't wait to see more. I can well imagine that you are

G'Day Jesse, well mate, I'm sad to admit that I haven't even looked at the racer project in months. I've been burning the candle at both ends with the K1 Kruiser, and it's legally on the road now, and apart from a niggling "High-RPM-under-load-misfire" which is slowly driving me insane, it's a cool ride, for sure.

I've gone and sent Andy a deposit for the K0 in Long Island, so as soon as it arrives here in Oz (I can't afford to fly myself to the US, but I'm paying Andy to fly a bike from the US to Oz, how ironic is that???) I'll be looking at what I can sell to pay for it before the wife realises what I've done with the families finances, so I'll be busy finishing off my restored K2, and fixing the leak in my restored F2 (complete engine strip required) so I can sell them and a couple of "projects" off.

You know how I said I wanted to have the racer project finished and on the road by Christmas, would it be too much to ask for an extension to say, next Christmas? Ha ha, Cheers, Terry. :)

G'Day Derek, not much mate, I bought this one (fits F/F1 and K7/K8 forks) at a swap meet recently, it's a German "Telefix" brace, very well made, (I've got Telefix clipons on the racer too) so I'll try to copy it for you, although I'm a tad worried about some of the clearances, which seem a bit thin.

Nice brace though, I wish I could cast them, rather than machine them, I could just use this one to make a mold? Cheers, Terry. ;D

On that subject, do you do any aluminum casting? I visit a giant swap meet in Carlisle PA USA once a year and talk with a vintage clock collector who casts his own cast-iron clock parts. (I bought a vintage punch-card time clock from him).  He told me once that one of his repro 12 inch [330mm] cast-iron clock name plates will actually shrink one-half inch [13mm] after cooling...so all his parts have to be molded correspondingly longer/wider...   :o

I haven't tried it myself, just curious as to whether aluminum shrinks more or less than cast-iron...

I had a misfire like that, turned out the last set of plugs i put in were resistor type.

G'Day Mate, I was hoping it was only plugs, so I pulled out the NGK D7EA's and replaced them with D8ES (I think, they're the ones with the tiny electrodes for electronic ignitions) and it feels better, but the misfire is still there, I'm gonna try another set of coils next, and see if that helps? Cheers, Terry. :)

That looks familiar! I bought one off of e-bay not realizing they only fit the later models, managed to get a hold of a Tarozzi designed for the earlier forks. Still have the telefix if anyone wants one though...

Well I'm still riding high on being June's BOTM pin-up boy, but geez, the Endurance racer project isn't any closer, in fact, I might just sell off the parts, there are so many race replica CB750's out there now that I think I'd prefer a chopper............

Anyone interested in buying a set of wider Borrani rimmed wheels, 35mm Ceriani forks, Koni 7610 shocks, a genuine Egli fairing and a big arsed Alloy gas tank? Cheers, Terry. ;D
