Topic: 750 K1 Valves cover

Roughly 2 weeks ago my valve cover started to seep oil on the left side... nowhere else.... I'm pretty sure I am done riding for the season...Is it possible to simply loosen all screws on the valves cover and retighten to see if the seepage subsides? Or should I attempt to tighten the one side?

Check if they are loose' only snug them a bit. Really cranking it up...just bends parts.

I've never seen a bent valve cover, but I guess it's possible. I like plan A, loosen all screws and re-tighten them evenly, and see if that seals it. The oil should have swelled the gasket slightly, so that might actually help it seal. Cheers, Terry.

The cover wont bend but th screws dig in a bit' if its hooped overtightening..helps nothing.

I think I'd be more worried about stripping the threads out of the head Frank, especially if the screws have been replaced with stainless socket heads.

If youcan get at them 2 under the breather cover loose, you could lift cover and apply sealant.
